Grand Opening Skate Jam temporary park - Queen Elizabeth Center Saturday, June 22 |
The grand opening of the temporary park was a great success. Over a hundred skaters, bmx'ers, inliners and spectators showed up to check out the new temporary park. Nan and his crew worked long hours to get the park ready in time, and the hard work payed off as the course was jammed all day! Skate, bmx and inline competitions took place (see results below), along with a skateboard demonstration by the Sud Skates team. New skate videos played inside (411 #50 and 51, new Deca and Transworld vids) and Duff's pizza supplied all the good eats. Prizes were donated by Sud Skates, West49, Etnies, Emerica, Droors, Furious and Duffs...including a complete skateboard! (Donated by Sud's). Thanks to all the volunteers that helped out all day! |
